Social-Emotional Learning

Creating space for reflection and aligning one’s thoughts, feelings and actions into a more harmonious self

Today’s youth face many new and old challenges. Social-emotional learning (SEL) encompasses the development of many important life skills, such as self-awareness, self-regulation, and interpersonal skills that are vital for success in many facets of life. We believe that understanding and reflecting on one’s internal emotional wellbeing is integral to overall health as well as learning how to be in community with others.

Social and emotional learning helps youth (as well as adults) identify, understand and regulate thoughts and emotions, develop empathy and compassion for oneself and others, and contribute to creating a more harmonious, just world.
