Shinnyo-en Foundation Announces the Resignation and the Appointment of Executive Management

Shinnyo-en Foundation announces the resignation of Harumitsu Inouye as Chief Executive Officer and the appointment of Tsutomu Ben Takagi as the new Vice President of Shinnyo-en Foundation effective February 25, 2011.
Shinnyo-en Foundation wishes to extend its most sincere gratitude to Haru for his many contributions and leadership of Shinnyo-en Foundation for the past 16 years. Under Haru’s leadership, Shinnyo-en Foundation has empowered a wide variety of organizations to give, grow, and transform the world. Through his efforts, Shinnyo-en Foundation has become a nationally recognized leader in service and volunteerism. Haru is returning to the Shinnyo-en USA Head Temple in Redwood City as a senior reverend.
Ben brings a broad spectrum of administrative and spiritual experiences to Shinnyo-en Foundation. He previously managed the financial and HR department at Panasonic in Japan, the U.S. and Canada. Ben became a member of the staff of Shinnyo-en USA in 2002 and he served at the Seattle Temple for the first two years. In 2004 Ben was transferred to Shinnyo-en USA Head Temple in Redwood City, California. He became Treasurer of Shinnyo-en USA in 2007 and continues to serve in this position. He is also a reverend in the Shinnyo-en USA. He served Shinnyo-en Foundation as a member of the board of directors from 2004 through 2007.
Under Tsutomu Ben Takagi’s leadership, Shinnyo-en Foundation will further strengthen its relationships with community organizations and educational institutions. Ben looks forward to continuing and building on SEF’s commitment to actualizing peace through compassion and service.
