A Small Way to Walk a Path to Peace

Once a month Blake School teachers offer after school tutoring and meals to a neighborhood close to Upper School. The faculty Path to Peace is to build meaningful connections with our neighbors.

“I don’t like green beans”

“Here are a few, just try them”

“May I have some more, and some of those mashed potatoes also?”

This was a typical conversation over the meal served last night at Jabbok Family Center to seventy five hungry neighbors by Blake School staff. Jabbok Family Center serves after school study classes and meals to the students and the families in the Minneapolis Whittier Neighborhood. This is one more small way to walk a path to peace.
